Is it odd to not want a MOH or Bridesmaid?
My best friend is my mother, and her duties for that day will be MOB. So I don’t really have a lot of options. I don’t want a formal bachelorette party, I don’t want a wedding shower, I decided at the last minute that I didn’t really like the processional idea.
I would prefer a very small intimate ceremony with only 10 people max and invite people to the reception instead. I just want want the Minister to bless my union and rings. I want to wear a short colored dress instead of the big, formal gown.
So is this really odd?
Not odd at all! Whatever kind of ceremony will make you happy is the way to go! If you don’t feel the need for all the *fluff* then don’t do it. That money saved can go toward a house, new car, or whatever you may need as a married couple! I recently attended a wedding that was VERY casual. The bride and groom wore jeans, cowboy boots, and nice tops.
