Decorations for pews for a wedding?
I am looking to find something unique to make for the end of my pews for my wedding. I am crafty, doing all my own flowers (trust me Ive got plenty of time to get it done!) Ive seen the Kissing Ball, the bows, the flowers, does anyone have any ideas, pictures are best. They have to attach to folding chairs, so nothing too heavy, or complicated to hang on the chair. HELP!
what about finding photos of the both of you growing up? you sound pretty crafty so you could make faux frames from construction paper in your wedding colors and attach a photo to each pew end. i think its a really cute and original idea. it would be relatively inexpensive. you could carry the idea thru to your reception by using photos of the two of you growing up for your centrepieces. the idea being every table would have two or three different shots – you can find really inexpensive wood frames at the dollar store or ikea that you could paint or stain your wedding colors or leave natural. the idea being that guests would be up and mingling as they looked at the various photos instead of everyone sitting at their table without any interaction!
we’ve seen it done at several wedding receptions and its really quite a crowd pleaser – who doesn’t like looking at candid shots of the bride and groom growing up!

edit: before deciding on candles anywhere check with the venues – many places are now saying no to any open flames due to the fire hazard and the rising cost of insurance
