Various Choices in Custom Wedding Invitations
Custom wedding invitations form an important component of your wedding plans, and you should be aware of the choices that are available when you want to design your wedding invitations. We give below some points for your consideration in this matter:
•Your Budget
Prior to your shopping for wedding invitations, you should decide how much you want at what cost. When you know your budget and order quantity it’s easier to arrive at the cost per invitation, and this will help you focus on specific options. Keep in mind that reception cards, response cards, return address printing, envelope lining, colored inks, etc. are extra options not inclusive in the price of invitations. The cost for these items will be quoted separately.
•Wedding Theme
When there’s a particular theme for your wedding, such as the season of the year, beach or tropical background, flowers, specific colors, etc., you can go in for invitation suited to such a theme. These themed wedding invitations will have the designs, colors, pictures and decorations appropriate to the specific theme.
•The Style
Style means the type of wedding invitation, such as a simple card with one leaf or one that’s folded with a few leaves, sometimes including the photos of the couple. A ’seal-n-send’ style can be economical, as it’s provided with an attached response postcard, and can be folded to form a mailing piece of its own. Pocket wedding invitations are gaining popularity as one of the modern styles. You may find that some card styles appear to be more modern than classic, or more formal than informal, and so your selection is dependent on the style of your wedding.
•The Paper
This option involves the color and size of the paper required for your invitations. Contemporary wedding invitations are available in special sizes like tea length and squares. Remember that bigger sizes will entail extra postage, so you have to check this aspect before deciding on a particular size. Papers that are self-colored are also popular nowadays. Another aspect to be considered is eco-friendly invitations using recycled paper.
•The Wordings
Various sample verses are available for the custom wedding invitations. You can also opt to create the verse on your own. Your option of verse is dependent on the host of your wedding, viz. your parents or both of you. Also your reception particulars can be inserted on the invitation itself if there’s space, otherwise you should have an individual reception card.
•Lettering or Fonts
A vast range of fonts are available with the printers. We suggest that you go for a style that is easily readable for your guests, being simpler and less of a script type.
•Color of Printing Ink
Usually when you have selected the invitation, you’ll be offered the choices of printing inks that go with it. Just remember that self-colored paper will have their own effect on particular ink colors. Black ink is standard in the price of invitations, and colored inks are charged extra.
